Cog is a player-favorite NPC. He materialized in the middle of a fight as a random side effect of Wild Magic and was instantly befriended by Fable, our catfolk cleric. His naivety is absolute, so Fable spent her turns of combat protecting him and teaching him concepts like “friendship” and “danger”.

Unfortunately, the magic only let him live for one minute, so as soon as the battle was won, he crumbled to dust. Fable was heartbroken, but several sessions later, she and the rest of the party met the mythical Whittler at the very heart of the Giantwood, where all life begins. The Whittler was able to reunite Cog with his new friends, and now he remains a cherished companion!
